How to get rid of a Pimple

PimpleTeenagers are always plagued with the dreadful question of how to get rid of a pimple that seems to appear the most inappropriate of times. This one small pimple can ruin your special day and if there are a group of them, it can surely force you spend the day in hiding. There are many easy ways to get rid of a pimpleand you no longer have to hide your pretty face away.

SALISYLIC ACID AND RETINOL

Salicylic acid is a great way to remove the pimples. Recommended by dermatologists, it kills the bacteria and removes the excess oil. Apply an ointment containing salicylic acid on your face as soon as you spot a pimple coming to prevent it from getting bigger. If your skin is prone to pimples, use soaps and cleansers that contain salicylic acid.

Retinol is derived from Vitamin A complex and is useful in treating the pimples and excess oil. Use retinol based ointments to treat the pimple but remember that retinol, if used in excess strengths can cause the skin to dry up and peel.

Benzoyl peroxide is also another active ingredient in many medicated creams that can affectively help cure pimple problems.

BAKING SODA

Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply this to the pimple. Let it dry and wash with water. Baking soda helps remove the excess oil and grime to help heal the pimple faster.

TEA TREE OIL

Tea tree oil has natural anti-bacterial properties and is good for soothing irritated skin. Dab a little pure tea tree oil onto a cotton swab and dab on the pimples with this. Do this once every day to get rid of the pimple.

MINT

Mint has a soothing affect is also a good way to kill the bacteria affecting the pimple. Make a paste with some fresh mint leaves and apply it on the pimple. Let it stay for half an hour and then rinse with water. This can be done daily to reduce the swelling around the pimple and gradually heal it.

FULLERS EARTH

Fuller’s earth is good in removing the excess oil and grime. Make a pack with fuller’s earth, lemon juice and honey and apply this to the face. Let it dry and rinse off with cold water. Lemon and honey have anti-bacterial properties and also act as astringent. This pack will help to keep your pimple problems under control.

ICE

When a pimple is just coming up, a reddish swelling is often seen with mild irritation. This can be easily curbed with a piece of ice from your refrigerator. Hold the ice over the pimple and keep doing this a few times daily. Within a couple of days, you will notice that the swelling has reduced visibly and the irritation has gone as well.

STAY HYDRATED

Pimples are often the result of the toxic substances that accumulate in the blood stream. Drink lots of water regularly as this helps to flush out the toxins and any other waste products and purify the blood. Consuming large quantities of water daily can help control pimple breakouts. You can also hydrate the facial skin externally by rinsing it with water several times a day. Following these tips can help you get rid of your pimple very easily.
